After reading E.B. White's classic novel, Charlotte's Web, 3rd graders were asked to design and construct a diorama based on their favorite scene. They were on display and judged by cooperating teachers. ALL did very well, and these are the amazing winning project and their creators:

Greetings WUSD # 2: Please see an important message from our Transportation Team:
Thursday, May 16th , there will be no morning driver for route 2, so your pick up time will be
moved back approximately 30 minutes. Two buses will leave the high school at approximately 7:40 am and pick up students on the south side of town. One will stop at 9th and Oak, and then travel along Grant street (starting at 9th) then down Route 66 to pick up everyone along that portion of the route. The second bus will pick up students all along Sheridan and up 6th St.
One bus will drive around Morse street on the North side of WEMS to pick up the students on that street. The stops on Morse street will be closer to 8am.
Please be out at your stop and ready to board the bus at 7:40. You may have to wait a couple of minutes. The driver will not wait.
Golf course students will be picked up in a District vehicle (Ford Explorer) by two District Office employees. This is for Thursday MORNING ONLY, May 16th . Thank you for your understanding.

Greetings WUSD # 2: Special Transportation Update, TODAY ONLY
All routes will remain unchanged today except for Route 1-Parks (bus #14) and Route 2-In Town route (bus # 13).
There is no route # 2, bus # 13 today, therefore:
Route # 1, bus # 14 will make 2 runs today.
The first run will be the town route (nothing changes for this route except the driver and the bus # that drops them off)
The second run will be the Parks run (which will be 20-30 mins late). We apologize for the delay in delivering your students. We are down a driver today. All students who ride route 1, bus # 14 (Parks run) will wait at WEMS with supervision provided, in the long hallway, until the first run is made and the bus returns to WEMS.
Golf Course area bus riders will arrive in a school Ford Explorer by 2 staff members from the District Office. Thank you for your patience.

Congratulations to our Vikings Softball team as they advance to the semifinal round of the state playoffs. The Vikings will travel to Papago Softball Complex, in Scottsdale, to square off with the #2 seed Joseph City Wildcats, from the 1A east. Game time is set for 4 PM on May 6th. Baseball/Softball Playoffs
Congratulations to our Williams Vikings baseball and softball teams for qualifying for the 2024 State Playoffs.
Our baseball team is the #2 seed and will be hosting the #15 seeded Superior Panthers on Friday, April 26th at 2:00pm.
Our softball team is the #3 seed and will be hosting the #14 seeded Valley Union Blue Devils at 4:00pm.

Greetings WHS: There is a power outage at WHS today. Early indications are a transformer blew. In the interest of safety, there will be no school today at WHS. We are making arrangements for those who ride the bus to be transported back to their bus stops from WHS as soon as the bus fleet is ready to make those runs. Those who walk and drive themselves can return home now.
We do have a snow day in hand, so this day will not need to be made up.
A historic day tomorrow at WHS and within our WUSD # 2 Community: At 10:30 am on 4/25/24, the WHS Gymnasium will permanently banner and display the name 'Phillip Echeverria Gymnasium'. Although no ceremony is planned, as we have already done so, please feel free to drive by or stop by anytime to see the new lettering.
Congratulations once again to our former, now retired teacher, coach, and Athletic Director. We are forever grateful for all that you have done for our WUSD # 2 Community.
