Please see the attached September newsletter for WEMS!
Good evening WUSD families.
This message is for all families (WEMS & WHS) who have not yet submitted the free/reduced meal application this year or who have not received a notification from the Food Service Director informing you of eligibility. All students of families who have not yet submitted the free/reduced meal application will begin being charged full price for all meals beginning Monday September 11.
The free and reduced meal application can be found on our website under the Department Tab - Food Services, or you can search "Free and Reduced Meals" on the wusd2.org website.

August Newsletter from WEMS! Happy weekend WEMS families!
WHS Students & Families: We have received community complaints about the students at the high school while they visit Safeway during lunch. Just a friendly reminder that changing the price for an item you are purchasing, not scanning an item in self-checkout, and eating food from the wing bar without paying for it, is theft. Please remember that Safeway is a business, and that they have the ability to protect their store from theft in a variety of ways. They have not moved forward yet with contacting the police in these matters, but we have again recommended that they do so. If Safeway choses to move forward with legal action against the students who are stealing from them, that matter will be between Safeway, the police department, and the parents of the accused student. The school does not have the right to step into those matters in any capacity. Our mission as a school is to help prepare students to be college, career, and community ready; to be productive citizens ready to serve their communities.
Falcon Flyers begins Monday, August 21st. Please see the attached flyer and scan the QR code on your phone to let us know your child will be attending.

Please see image on pick up and drop off pathways. Elementary students will load in and out curbside on passenger side of vehicle on the elementary side. Middle school will load in and out in the left lane in the loading area with the right lane being the exit lane for cars leaving the parking lot. Middle school students will exit and enter vehicle on driver side to avoid loading by right lane exit. Drivers need to stay in their vehicle at all times. Families who have students in both elementary and middle school will always use the elementary side for pick up and drop off. Always be alert and off devices when picking up students and dropping them off for the safety of everyone!
Thank you First Baptist Church of Williams for loving on our teachers and staff today!

Greetings WUSD # 2 Families: It is hard to believe that August and the start of another school year are both right around the corner! New teachers report July 26. All teachers report July 31. All staff report Aug 3. First Day of school is Aug 7.
We would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that the school day will be a little shorter this year. WHS dismisses at 3:05 and WEMS at 3:15. We still far exceed the required academic seat time and we will strive to get students home after their extra-curriculars at a more reasonable hour on school nights. We look forward to welcoming everyone back!
Hello families, you are invited to Freshman Orientation this Thursday, July 27th in the high school gym from 5:30-6:30 pm. The presentation will begin at 5:30 with a question and answer opportunity after. Hope to see you there.
