The junior class performed well on the ASVAB test in February. In fact, the Class of 2026 had the most students with passing ASVAB scores seen at WHS in the past four years! A big shout out to our outstanding young scholars for their efforts and achievements this year! And a big thanks to SSGT WesselMartin, our local U.S. Army recruiter, for spending the day with our juniors last Wednesday to review their ASVAB results and provide advice for their future career interests.

Our middle school basketball season is wrapping up with tournament action this weekend! The A-Team tournament will take place on Friday, February 21, in Ash Fork. Games will begin at 8 AM, with your Falcons playing at 11 AM.
The B-Team Tournament will be held in Williams on Saturday, February 22, with games beginning at 8 AM. Tip-off for your Falcons will be 11 AM.

Our boys' and girls' wrestling team travels to Phoenix on Friday, February 21, aiming for gold! All matches will take place at Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum, beginning at 9 AM. The varsity girls fought hard in a tough battle against Cicero Prep but came up just short, falling 42-39. Despite the loss, they showed incredible determination and teamwork until the final buzzer. We love the way they completed and gave it their all. Much success next year.

Williams High School Athletics:
February 15 th , the boys wrestling team will travel to Buckeye Union High
School for the sectional tournament. Weigh-Ins are scheduled for 8 a.m. The
tournament will start at 10:00 a.m. Sectional qualifiers will advance to the state
tournament, scheduled for February 20 th and 21 st . Go Vikings!
February 13 th , the girls basketball team will travel to Cicero Preparatory Academy for
their state qualifying game. The winner will advance to the state playoffs. Game time is
scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Go Vikings!
February 14 th , the boys basketball team will host St. David in their state qualifying

Great news!
With the completion of our new gymnasium floor at WEMS we can once again hold
basketball practice at the middle school. Today’s boys basketball practice will be from
3:30 to 5:30pm. All games will still be played at the high school.

On February 7th, the 1A Central Sectional Basketball Tournament for boys and girls will be
played at Williams and Ash Fork High Schools, with the Championship games being played
at Williams High School. The Viking boys will start things off at 8:30 a.m., hosting the
Grand Canyon Phantoms. Your Viking girls will begin playing at 1:00 pm, hosting the
Phantoms as well. We will also be honoring our winter sports seniors at approximately 2:15 p.m. in the gymnasium. Go VIKINGS.
On February 8th, the girls Viking Wrestling Team will travel to Estrella Foothills High School for their Sectional Tournament. Weigh-ins are scheduled for 8 a.m. The tournament will begin at 9:30 a.m. The sectional qualifiers will move on to the state tournament, scheduled for February 20th and 21st. Go Vikings!
