Hello WUSD # 2 students, families, and staff members,
We have seen a major increase in students outside of the football stadium during our home football games the past few weeks. These students are spending the game outside of the football stadium where there is little to no lighting and where there is no supervision. Beginning this Friday (Sept 17th), WHS, with the support of WPD, will be sending any minor off campus who is NOT inside the WHS Football Stadium.
Parents and Guardians, thank you in advance for you understanding and support.

Greetings WUSD # 2 Families & Staff. Here are some health updates:
WUSD # 2 has 5 current, known cases of COVID involving students and/or staff, with a 6th already recovered. There are some households testing/awaiting results. Some results have already come back negative. We have some students at home because they were considered a close contact.
Please continue to monitor the health of your child(ren) and if sick or symptomatic, please keep them home.
If one develops COVID-like symptoms, please contact your doctor & our Health Aide, Ms. Salina Verser: sverser@wusd2.org. She will read to you the new guidance related to schools.
If absent related to COVID, we will (where possible), send/email work home, as requested just like any other illness related absence. Please utilize what technologies that you may have to communicate with teachers and/or to submit work. Consult your school's make up work policies to see how to avoid any late penalties related to being absent (for illness reasons).

One of her accolades that has garnered quite a bit of attention is the NASA WEMS Falcon Flyers STEM work. In June, they were recognized by ADE and were showcased at the Dept. of Ed 21st CCLC Virtual Summer Symposium. In July, they were showcased by the U.S. Department of Education and NASA in yet another Virtual Summer Symposium. Check it out below!

Hello WHS students, families, and staff! I am sending out a reminder about parking among the community. A few of our students are parking in front of driveways and parking spaces at the homes across the street from the school. This either prevents someone from leaving their home or returning. This is a reminder that our community members can request that cars that are blocking their drives are towed. To prevent this from happening, please be very aware of where you are parking in the neighborhood. I recommend parking on the school side of 7th, 9th, and Sheridan.
