If your child wont be taking finals, please call them in and excuse their absence(s) with the front office just as you would any other day of the school year.
Students will check out (with check out sheets) through the Front Office. Any outstanding student/athletic fees are also being collected. We accept cash, checks, credit/debit cards. The Front Office will be able to tell you a fee balance, if your child(ren) have any.

Greetings Vikings! Here we are, the final week of school. I'm proud to be a part of a district that made it through the entire year in person. We can exhale, enjoy our summer, and hopefully put this pandemic behind us for good. Here is this week's schedule at WHS:
Monday (5/24): Regular full day of school
Tuesday* (5/25): Final Exams for class periods 1,3,5
Wednesday* (5/26): Final Exams for class periods 2,4,6
Thursday* (5/27): Half day of school (last day of school)
Friday (5/28): Graduation 7:00 pm
*Tues, Wed, Thurs are half days of school (8:00am-12:40pm)
Breakfast AND lunch are available all week upon student request
Buses run at regular time (3:40 pm) Mon-Wed
Buses run at 12:40 pm Thursday
Good evening families, we are collecting Chromebooks & Hotspots from students. Please ensure your student brings to school their devices, power adapters and bags. Any remaining Seniors will need to turn in their device tomorrow. On Mon, May 24 any students not taking finals will turn in their device. Tue, May 25 & Wed, May 26 any students finished with finals will turn in their device. Thu, May 27 any students that have not turned their device will need to turn them in today. No exceptions. Greetings Williams. We are excited to announce that there will be a short parade down Route 66 on Friday May 21st, 2021, starting on the West End of town by the Motel 6, traveling down Route 66 all the way to the East End of town and back into town, ending at Monument Park.

Greetings Vikings: Congrats to both our boys and girls teams for their 4 wins at state playoffs this weekend. The Lady Vikes and Vikings travel down to The Valley once again this upcoming Friday and Saturday as they continue their quest toward a state championship. Friday's matchups are the semifinals. Championship game played Saturday.
The boys play #1 St. David Friday (5/14) at 6:30 pm at Diablo Stadium in Tempe.
The girls play # 5 Superior Friday (5/14) at 5:00 pm at Rose Mofford Complex in Phoenix.
Both games will be streamed live from the NFHS Network (for a fee).

Your Viking Baseballers are the # 5 seed and they play # 12 Lincoln Prep at 4 pm at the Goodyear Ballpark Complex - Indians Field on 5/7/21 as well.

Greetings Viking Freshmen: tomorrow morning at 8 am in the gym we take attendance for the Annual WHS Bill Williams Mountain Hike. At the top, students will have lunch, rest, enjoy the view, and hydrate. Make sure Mr Eche has your permission slip and that you’re prepared with a backpack, water, charged cell phone, walking buddy/group, and GPS app on your phone. Stay on the trail! Dress in layers! We are excited to bring this tradition back to WHS! Mr Evans and Mr Schober will greet you at the top!
WUSD#2 - Today is the last day of the Clothing SWAP. It is completely FREE. No need to bring clothes but we are still accepting donations. We have clothing for all ages. It is going on now till noon. Bring your kids, friends, and neighbors and bring home the clothing you need. Hope to see you here, at the WEMS Gym.

Greetings WUSD # 2 Families: Please help me in welcoming to our Williams Family, Mrs. Tammara Ragsdale as our new WEMS Principal. She comes to us with experiences in Special Education, Professional Development Leadership, and as a Middle School Principal, in Arizona and in Texas. We very much look forward to her arrival and for what she will bring to our WEMS community.
We would like to thank "Dr. Mo", Mrs. Carissa Morrison, for her years of service and commitment to the students, staff, and families of our WEMS community. We wish her luck in all of her future endeavors.
Greetings Vikings! Today we are on an "AM Assembly" schedule. This means lunch starts @ 12:00 noon today. We had a very fun, spirited, pep assembly in the gym this morning. Great to see the kids smiling and laughing.
Today is a big day for our Vikings spring sports teams. The golf team travels to beautiful Sedona today and our #2 Lady Vikes host # 1 Bagdad in softball, 2 pm first pitch.
Our # 5 Vikes host #4 Bagdad today as well, first pitch 2 pm.
