Greetings and Good Morning Vikings! Happy 2nd day of Spring! Due to today's inclement weather, baseball, softball, and golf have all been cancelled for today. Stay warm, stay dry, stay safe! Thank you.
Mr. Evans***
Good Evening Falcon Families! We hope you join us this Thursday, March 25th for Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences. Elementary conferences will be at teachers' classrooms and middle school conferences will be in the gymnasium. Conferences are from 5-7 p.m. and we hope to see you there! #JoiningTogetherForSuccess
Due to inclement weather, today and tomorrow's Falcon Flyers/Boys Girls Club are CANCELED. All students will be sent home after school today via their regular transportation method. Further, middle school volleyball practices will be shortened so that early practice is 4-5 p.m. and late practice will be 5-6:30 p.m. Drive safely and have a good spring break everyone!
Attention families with remote learners:
Tomorrow is our last open day to have students come in to take their quarterly benchmark assessments. Mr. Wollman and Mrs. White will be taking students from 9:00-3:00 on March 9th to complete their assessments. It will take your child approximately 1 hour to complete this. It is crucial that all remote students take periodic assessments so that we can adequately gauge student growth. Last week we only had 5 of the 70 students come in for their assessments. Please help us meet our goal of having 90% of our remote students take their benchmark assessments. If you are unable to come to school tomorrow for this assessment, please contact Mr. Wollman at awollman@wusd2.org to make other arrangements.
Alright, Falcons! We have one week left of school before Spring Break! Let's finish the quarter strong by putting forth our best efforts, excelling academically, and showing our Falcon Pride! This week is Spirit Week!
Monday--Crazy Hat Day; Tuesday--Decade Day; Wednesday--Pajama Day; Thursday--Extreme Spirit Day. Let's have some fun while we learn!
NEWS RELEASE: PHOENIX, AZ (3/2/2021) – Due to improving Covid-19 metrics (decreasing Covid cases, increased hospital bed capacity, etc), the AIA Executive Board voted to approve removing the mask mandate for the Spring season, Winter playoffs including Spiritline. playing or in the field of competition. All spectators in attendance for a contest must wear an approved mask or face covering. Please note that mesh face masks are not acceptable face coverings.

Hey There Families! March is Youth Art Month and all students are invited to submit their best original artwork for the month-long exhibit at The Gallery in Williams. Student should submit their artwork and a signed permission slip to WUSD Art Teacher, Ms. Cargill. Permission slips are in the WEMS front office. Can't wait to see some great art! #JoiningTogetherForSuccess
A reminder from the tech department. Please do not attempt repairs to your child's Chromebook. Glue will not fix broken keys. It only causes more damage for an otherwise simple repair. Also, several students have asked for replacement chargers. We do not have spares. If your child lost it, you (or they) are responsible for replacing it. All Chromebooks should be returned in the same condition they were issued. We will start Chromebook collection as soon as benchmarks are done in May. Replacement chargers are posted on our website. https://www.wusd2.org/page/technology
Happy Friday Families! Just a friendly reminder there is no school Monday, Feb. 15 for the Presidents' Day holiday. Enjoy your long weekend!
FYI COVID-19 testing tomorrow Friday, Feb. 12 9am-1pm at WEMS parking lot. Swab and saliva-based testing available. See flyer for details. https://5il.co/pkbr

Greetings WUSD # 2: After much deliberation and consideration, we are going ahead and calling another Snow Day Cancellation for school tomorrow (1/28).
There are simply too many folks still snowed in and no way for our buses to safely run tomorrow.
Please continue to check in on friends, family, and neighbors to see how we may be of service to one another....making sure they have groceries, medications, etc. It is situations like these where we come to assist one another that make our community and our town so special.
Stay safe and stay warm!
Greetings WUSD Families and Faculty: WUSD is canceling school for tomorrow (1/27) as we all continue to dig out from this impressive storm. Stay safe and stay warm.
We will continue to provide updates via Facebook, text, our app, our website, and voice calls. Thank you.
Greetings WUSD # 2 Families & Staff:
Due to inclement weather, WUSD # 2 is canceling school for Monday (1/25) & Tuesday (1/26). These are snow day cancellations & there will be NO remote learning.
We are making this decision now in order for families to better prepare.
Stay safe & stay warm Williams!
Greetings WUSD # 2: We are closely monitoring the weather situation this weekend that is supposed to last through Tuesday morning.
We will make a decision about having school as soon as possible.
We will notify via phone, Facebook, & text msg.
Stay tuned, stay warm, and stay safe.
