A special National Educator Appreciation Week shout-out to our WEMS middle school team! They are small (but mighty!) group, who day-in and day-out provide a rigorous, engaging learning environment for our tween and teen Falcons. And, they do it with smiles on their faces! We heart our WEMS teachers!

It's National Teacher Appreciation Week. At WUSD, we like to celebrate Educator Appreciation Week and recognize the hard work of ALL our staff--teachers, aides, custodians, bus drivers, cafeteria staff, office staff, administrators, and everyone else! Thanks to our incredibly dedicated group of educators for making WUSD a caring place where students and their educations matter most. To start the week off, we'd like to shine a spotlight on our cafeteria staff, a.k.a. The Lunch Bunch! Since the start of the school closure...every day at dawn, these ladies are up and at 'em making wonderful hot meals to send home to students. Thanks, Lunch Bunch, for being such a strong team. And, thanks to all of our WUSD staff for doing what they do and doing it well! Look for more WUSD Educator Spotlights this week!

Greetings WUSD # 2 Families: To honor our Seniors, our wonderful Class of 2020, the WHS Football Field will be ceremoniously lit up tonight for 20 mins starting at 8:20 pm (20:20 pm) with 20 minutes and 20 seconds on the scoreboard. (20:20). We encourage our entire community, especially our Seniors, to DRIVE BY and check it out. We ask you to please stay in your vehicles. WEMS is very proud of its 8th grade class, aka the Class of 2024! They do amazing things everyday and see the world through interesting lenses. Proof of this is shown in this year's Eighth Grade Identity through Photography Project. Thanks to The Williams Alliance for the Arts for their continued sponsorship of this project and to Kris Williams for putting together a virtual exhibit of the 8th graders' work. The Hwy 64, Milepost 209.3 meal delivery is a NEW meal/schoolwork pick-up site. It is in addition to our other, already established pick-up sites. WUSD#2 will be at the mailboxes/mile-marker at approx. 12:00 p.m. every M,T,W,TH. Thank you.
Williams Elementary-Middle School’s Preschool has received its first Quality First rating, and we are pleased to announce that we’ve received 4 stars! Our rating is based upon our health and safety practices, staff qualifications, teacher-child interactions, high quality lesson delivery, and parent communication. Congratulations to our WEMS Preschool Team comprised of: Jessica Guzman, Preschool Director; Tammy Benjamin, Preschool Teacher; Cami Grantham, Preschool Parapro; Bree Salaz, Preschool Parapro; and Alisha Snyder, Preschool Parapro. These ladies work very hard to make every preschooler’s experience a great one!
