Hi all, Gov Ducey will be hosting a town hall meeting tonight, April 2nd, at 6pm. Time into any AZ station to watch.

Hi Falcon Families! In place of our Annual Literacy Night this year, we'll be giving away new or gently-used books to everyone at our meal pick-up sites tomorrow. When you arrive at meal pick-up tomorrow, just let us know how many children you have and what grades they are in. Thanks to Ms. Oswald for coordinating this and Happy Reading!

Greetings WHS Students & Families:
Are you and/or your child interested in raising their 3rd quarter grade(s)?
During this Distance Learning Opportunity time, all WHS students will have an opportunity to reach out to their teacher(s) to express their desire to raise their Q3 grade(s). Individual students will work out a plan/agreement to move forward during the closure to improve their Q3 grade(s). Students MUST must be the ones to reach out.
Why improve Q3 grade(s)? This will be how WHS determines credit for semester 2 and because students did not have a chance to do so in the 4th quarter.
Be Well.
Mr. Evans***

Stop by one of our meal pick up sites today... yummy cheeseburgers and french fries, with a side of a healthy salad!

Hey there, Falcon Families! Getting a little cabin fever? Need a change of pace? Well, today's going to be beautiful outside, so here's a fun, free activity to do with the kids: The Williams Photo Hunt! Head outside, take cool photos, submit the pics, and be entered to win prizes! Make sure to stick to open spaces and maintain social-distancing 6-feet guidance, but do get some fresh air! Good evening, Falcon Families. This is Dr. Morrison, principal of WEMS, reaching out to thank you for continuing to be strong in the face of COVID-19 and for finding the energy to prioritize your children's learning during these challenging times. It was wonderful to see so many of you at meal pick-up today, eager to get schoolwork for your children. Please keep this up. Continue to come and pick up meals and work. Look for more information from your teachers about Google Classroom and online learning. Now, more than ever, you are our partners in ensuring that students continue to learn and make the most of this school year. I know that you have many questions for us. As we continue to get guidance from the Department of Education, we will inform you of it and always make decisions in the best interest of students. Despite the public health need to close Arizona schools, the entire WEMS staff is committed to serving you, our families, through this pandemic. Please be well and heed our governor's advice to stay home, stay healthy, and stay connected by checking in with our Facebook page and website at www.wusd2.org. Thanks and good night.

Greetings WHS Families: Please check your inbox for a message from the AIA re: sporting events and other AIA sanctioned events for the remainder of the year.
With the announcement of AZ school closures this morning, for the remainder of the school year, the AIA has also cancelled all events for the remainder of the year.
Our collective hearts break for our seniors, our athletes, our CTE kiddos, our extra-curricular kiddos who had seasons, games, events, competitions, etc. this spring. Be strong. Be well. We miss each of you!

Hello Falcon Families. I hope you are doing well. As we head into the second week of school closure, I encourage all students to get back into the routine of learning. WEMS teachers have online learning opportunities ready to go and are contacting families via text and/or phone to explain how to access them. For those of you who need or prefer them, paper learning packets are available at each WUSD meal site beginning tomorrow. Simply request a packet by grade level. Teachers will not be grading work at this time and packets should not be returned. If you have questions or concerns or need assistance in any way, please reach out to me at 928-635-4428 or cmorrison@wusd2.org. Thank you and be well, Dr. Morrison.

Greetings WHS Families: I hope this finds each of you well. Starting tomorrow (3/30/20), all WHS students will be able to access online educational opportunities via Google Classroom. For those that need to, hard copies (packets) are available at each WUSD food service location. Simply request a packet by teacher name when arriving at a WUSD food service station. Teachers will NOT be grading work at this time. Packets should NOT be returned. Google Hangouts, Google Classroom, Khan Academy, Zoom, & Rosetta Stone are WHS's preferred online apps/sites. Be on the lookout for more info from individual teachers as we head into the week. Thank you & be well.
I am available at eevans@wusd2.org. I can also make calls from Google Hangouts.
