Greetings from the WUSD Food Service Department. We want to take a moment to notify you that schools offer a nutritious breakfast starting at 7:30 AM and lunch each school day. The meals are offered according to your child’s approved meal status. Students can eat free, at a reduced rate, or full price. If you are not sure if your student qualifies for free or reduced meals, please feel free to contact Chris Sanders at any time Monday thru Thursday by calling 1-928-635-4428 ext. 124 or email csanders@wusd2.org. Our lunch ladies have noticed there are some students not eating during the day, so we are reaching out to parents to help us by encouraging their children to eat at school. Studies have found students that eat healthy meals perform better in school. We look forward to serving healthy nutritious meals to all students in accordance with the National School Lunch Programs (NSLP) guidelines. Please visit our Food Service page for meal application and pricing. https://www.wusd2.org/o/wusd/page/food-service--222

Greetings WHS Families: WUSD & WHS would like to share with you a newer/updated feature to our district website. You can report a bullying incident through our website, straight to your campus administrator. It can be anonymous (if you wish) and it's a simple, short process. From the home screen of the district website, click on "REPORT A BULLYING INCIDENT: help yourself, help others" icon. Definitions are provided to help clarify and best report the type of incident that occurred/is occurring. Thank you!

On Friday, our Forensic Science/Law Enforcement students competed at Glendale Community College. The ladies comprised the CSI team & the Gents were the criminal justice team. This was a SkillsUSA Competition. What a fun day in the Valley of the Sun for a great group of kids

This Thursday, WEMS elementary students (K-5) have the opportunity to participate in JumpRope for Heart in their Fit Kids classes. Student do not need to have fundraised in order to participate, but do need to turn in a signed permission slip. Students can pick up an extra permission slip this week so they can participate on Thursday. Our goal: 100% of students jumping rope together on Thursday for heart health!

Friday, some of our top CTE welding students went to Flag to compete in the Regional Qualifiers for State!

Thanks to Williams Alliance for the Arts and Kris Williams especially for sponsoring a visit from photographer and documentary filmmaker Efren Lopez this past week. Mr Lopez held a Q&A session after sharing his documentary with our 8th graders. Very powerful film about his military service in Afghanistan. What a great addition to the Identity through Photography project! You can view the photographs from our students' participation in this project at The Gallery in Williams throughout the month of April.

What a great community event with huge support and turnout! WUSD # 2 was in attendance. A great event to connect community resources and needs all in one!
